Peach Drop

Thomas Moeller
50 Upper Alabama St SW

Countdown to the annual Peach Drop in Atlanta. Think Big Apple in Times Square, only with a peach in Underground Atlanta. The giant peach weighs in at more than 800 pounds and is fully painted and refurbished each year before the big night.

Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint

200 Peachtree St.

Skip the crowd at Underground Atlanta and sip champagne while watching the Peach Drop from an oversized projection screen at Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint. The name is a nod to the juke joints peppering rural outskirts of southern town for African American communities to gather.
